Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, Delhi-NCR: Activities

Sri Sathya Sai Rasoi Seva, Faridabad District

With Bhagawan’s abundant blessings, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, Delhi-NCR’s Faridabad district launched the ‘Rasoi Seva’ on 8th May 2022, in celebration of Maa Easwaramma Day, thereby touching the lives of many individuals through such dedicated service.

“When a hungry Nara is served a hearty meal, what is being done is Narayana Seva, for, Nara (man) is only "a form and a name" projected by Maya (human ignorance) on Narayana (God).”

-         Sri Sathya Sai Speaks, Vol 19 (1986)

Since the inception of this noble ‘Rasoi Seva’ in Faridabad, 126 Narayan Sevas have been offered, benefiting approximately 40,000 individuals with delicious meals every Sunday. On an average, around 300 people are served each week, with Seva activities taking place from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM.

The preparation of Prasadam begins at 9:30 AM, followed by distribution from 12:30 PM onwards. The Seva is managed entirely by dedicated Sevadals, with 10 gents and 6 mahilas volunteering each week.

Alongside the lovingly prepared meal service, Bal Vikas classes are also held every Sunday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and a Bhajan session begins from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM, thereby enriching the community with spiritual and physical nourishment.

Remember also that both of these - the mind and the conscience - have to be kept straight on the path of welfare of all mankind (sarva-manava-sukha). Dharma will shine and illumine only in the person who serves all and confers joy on all. Such a person will receive not only the grace of the Lord but also the unique privilege of merging in Him. Whenever you give anything to anyone or take anything from anyone, see that you do not transgress the boundaries of dharma. Do not go against its commands. Follow it at all times, believing this to be your bounden duty. Fill every ounce of your energy with the essence of dharma and endeavour to progress in that path, more and more, with every passing day. - Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, Dharma Vahini
