Sri Sathya Sai Food Van
Divine Love on Wheels!
“The sacred land of Bharat is annapurna kshetra (land of plenty). The tradition of Bharat is to offer food free to every hungry person and water to every thirsty person.”
- Sri Sathya Sai Speaks, Vol 39 (2006)
Serving pure love in every spoonful of nutritious goodness, the Sri Sathya Sai Food Van conducts mobile Narayana Seva, distributing home-cooked meals to Narayanas across the region of Delhi-NCR.
Initiated on the Holy Guru Purnima of 2024 as a noble endeavour of 3 Districts of Delhi-NCR namely, South East, South West and Central, this is a beautiful offering placed at the lotus feet of our beloved Bhagawan.
With the pilot launch in the South East district, the Sri Sathya Sai Food Van has now travelled to 5 Districts, covering close to 500 kms across Delhi roads and served approximately 8000 Narayanas; close to 25 Narayana Sevas humbly offered at the lotus feet over the span of 5 months!
Notably, Seva Dals from the three districts mentioned above ensure that the food is lovingly prepared, stored and distributed through the Sri Sathya Sai Food Van, which makes it possible to cover more areas and many more Narayanas, thereby spreading the message of Bhagawan’s pure love and selfless service far and wide!
With Swami’s grace, the food van will travel a long way to reach and satisfy parched hearts and homes and it is our sincere endeavour that the van will be utilised regularly across Delhi-NCR to practise Bhagawan’s clarion call, “Love All, Serve All.”
“When a hungry Nara is served a hearty meal, what is being done is Narayana Seva, for, Nara (man) is only "a form and a name" projected by Maya (human ignorance) on Narayana (God).”
- Sri Sathya Sai Speaks, Vol 19 (1986)
