As part of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s Centenary Celebrations, the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, Delhi-NCR, launched the 'Sai Annaprasadam’ initiative. As the name suggests, this is a unique endeavour to kindle our inner transformation to celebrate 100 years of pure love.
“It is quality that God values, not quantity. You may perform narayana seva on a large scale, but without purity of heart, you cannot please God. God will be pleased even with a morsel of food offered with sacred feelings. All that you do with purity of heart will find fulfilment.”
- Sri Sathya Sai Speaks, Vol 32 (1999)
Centenary Celebrations in Delhi-NCR: Launch of Sai Annaprasadam
The Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, Delhi-NCR’s Sai Annaprasadam initiative is an endeavour to rekindle the flame of love and brotherhood in our hearts through the spirit of feeding at least one person in need.
“The gift of food is the noblest of all gifts.. And, the best type of seva is feeding the hungry.” - Sri Sathya Sai Speaks, Vol 13 (1975)
What is Sai Annaprasadam Initiative?
We lovingly invite everyone to participate by offering an extra meal daily to someone in need. This would be a continuous Seva opportunity from: 10th November, 2024 to 31st December, 2025.
By providing 30 meals daily in each District, we aim to deliver approximately 108,000 meals over the course of a year, and please our Bhagawan by following His Message of Selfless love and service- ‘Karishye Vachanam Tava’.
Please contact your District President or Samiti Convener to confirm your participation in this divine initiative.
Significance of Sai Annaprasadam
When we cook a meal with our own hands, choosing every ingredient with thoughtfulness and love, and we offer it to someone who is totally unrelated and not part of our daily life, the joy we feel within is immeasurable.
In a world where food brings hope and comfort, if each of us chooses to feed at least one person each day, together we can bring a brighter future and a happier world, besides bringing about a meaningful transformation within.
Individually, this becomes a sadhana (spiritual practice), allowing us to feel the warmth of Divine Love of serving Bhagawan in everyone we offer our home-cooked food to.
Join us and participate in Sai Annaprasadam initiative by offering a fresh, home-cooked meal, daily to at least one Narayana.
As mentioned earlier, by providing at least 30 meals daily in each district of the Delhi-NCR, we aim to deliver 1,08,000 meals over the course of a year, as we have started this from November 10, 2024.
"It is a big mistake to think that you are rendering service to others. In fact, you are serving yourself because the same principle of the Atma, the same principle of love is present in all."
- Sri Sathya Sai Speaks, Vol 33 (2000)
With Bhagawan’s blessings, let's spread love and joy through Seva!
Please remember to contact your District President or Samiti Convener to confirm participation in this noble endeavour.
